Sundance is an established arts community and year-round resort founded by Robert Redford. With Mount Timpanogos providing a magnificent backdrop for the community, skiers enjoy the slopes of Sundance ski resort, while summer activities include fly fishing in the Provo River, horseback riding at the on-site stables, mountain biking and superb hiking. Summer theater in the outdoor amphitheater provides entertainment, and a variety of cinematic and cultural events are offered throughout the year. Sundance is located just 45 minutes southeast of Park City.
